Concept Designs

Urban Spaces

In these designs, I focused on making the most of confined urban spaces by carefully considering layout, scale, and functionality. My goal was to create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor environments, allowing the two to blend harmoniously. Through strategic use of materials, textures, and natural elements, I aimed to enhance the sense of openness and flow, transforming small spaces into inviting, multi-functional areas.

Recognizing that inner-city life often leaves little time for maintaining ambitious gardens, I have prioritised plants that thrive in low-light conditions and remain evergreen. This ensures year-round visual interest while embracing a low-maintenance approach, making these designs both practical and sustainable for urban living.

Embracing the seasons

These designs are created with more ambitious gardeners in mind—those who embrace seasonal change and have a desire to support pollinators and biodiversity. They focus on flowering plants, with an emphasis on wild grasses, native herbaceous perennials, and trees and shrubs that bring vibrant spring blossoms or spectacular autumn foliage. The goal is to cultivate a sense of wilderness and freedom, fostering a deeper connection between the home and the natural world.
